After the Ball Movie Review By MDbReviews
Chris Knight | National Post
I mean, give writers Jason Sherman and Kate Melville points for finding
a way to shoehorn the Cinderella lost-slipper gag into the screenplay.
But then take those points away for the very same reason.
Randall King | Winnipeg Free Press
Doubleday is a game gamine, and as the wicked stepsisters Hopkins and
Krill manage to steal some scenes and win some laughs. Certainly, they
help compensate for the film's witty/helpful/catty gay characters.
Nathalie Atkinson | Globe and Mail
Certainly, the production values echo those of high-end made-for-TV
fare, but the cast and amusing script more than make up for what the
movie lacks in gloss.
Linda Barnard | Toronto Star
It's pretty much a one-joke effort that wants to be The Devil Wears
Prada but plays more like a middling episode of a TV sitcom.
